In Banka, police recovered the body of a youth from the bushes of Mandar Hill. The body has been identified as Sunil Kumar, resident of Mahesha Dih of Town police station area.
Family members say that Sunil Kumar was missing since Friday. On Saturday, his father Ghanshyam Mandal had informed the police about his son’s disappearance. The young man has been strangled to death. Family members say that an attempt was made to disfigure his face by hitting him with a stone to hide his identity. After this, the body was made to disappear.
Murder in illicit relationship
In this regard, SDPO Vipin Bihari says that a Panchayat representative had established an illicit relationship with a woman of the village. The woman was also related to a grocery shopkeeper. The woman appeared to be the young man’s cousin. The youth is accused of threatening to expose the relationship between the Panchayat representative and the woman by making obscene video and audio. Police say that for this reason the woman first called the shopkeeper and then took him towards Mandar Hill and strangulated him to death. After this the body was thrown into the bush.

The father of the deceased accused Panchayat head Bunty Mandal and said that it was he who got his son murdered. The deceased were two brothers. The elder brother prepares for competitive exams, while the younger brother ran a grocery store. Regarding the incident, Banka Police Station President Rakesh Kumar said that the matter has been investigated. Police sent the body to Banka for post-mortem. The police have joined the investigation of the entire matter.
